SnowJay - Physical Intelligence

The Intelligence Behind the Characters

SnowJay Robotics OS

SnowJay is Dynamic Creatures’ integrated robotics AI platform, the operating system at the heart of our robots. It is a physical intelligence platform that coordinates movement, perception, and behavior, enabling each character to move naturally through demanding commercial environments, adapting to the people and activity around it.

Robot Control Platform

SnowJay Robotics OS

The onboard software platform executes robot behaviors in real time, coordinates and transitions between skills, continuously monitors system health, and manages safe operating states—including controlled stopping and shutdown. Its core functions include:

  • A real-time policy & controller inference

  • A behavior orchestration and skill execution platform

  • Onboard logging, monitoring, and diagnostics tools

  • Safe stop, controlled shutdown, and controlled-fall behavior

Behavior Learning and Training

We are world leaders in the development of new, learned physical skills, including natural locomotion, expressive gestures, and fall recovery. Together with our services team, you can create a training pipeline to teach robots new behaviors from motion capture or animations.

Human Robot Interaction (A New Kind of VLA)

With SnowJay, it becomes easy to create:

  • Steerable natural locomotion

  • Multi-robot choreography

  • Whole-body character gestures

  • Fall recovery

  • Animations in Maya and then import them into SnowJay

Our platform combines third-party embodied-reasoning models with a full Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) system designed to make robots feel natural, expressive, and emotionally engaging.

A classic Vision-Language-Action model (VLA) is a multimodal AI foundation model for robotics that converts visual data and language instructions directly into physical action. At Dynamic Creatures, our VLA is the HRI layer that translates human input into lifelike robot output—facial expressions, emotions, and gestures.

We focus on the layers around the AI—including multimodal perception, conversation, memory, task orchestration, robot movement, animatronics, facial expressions, gaze, gestures, voice, and human-facing interfaces—to create robots that don’t just understand and respond to people, but communicate through natural movement, emotion, and presence.

Calibration and Sim-to-Real

Robot Calibration and Simulation-to-Real-World Testing

SnowJay includes the processes and tools used to make sure the robot’s physical components and sensors are properly aligned, calibrated, and working together as expected. This includes ensuring that joint positions, cameras, motion sensors, and timing are accurate and synchronized, while also minimizing differences between how the robot behaves in simulation and how it performs in the real world.
